Overview

Multispray was started 50 years ago, by Mr. Chris Dreyer. He has an Industrial Engineering and MBA background and had his own BP Garage with a workshop and the Alfa agency in Vanderbijlpark. His business had such a good reputation with his customers, that they wanted him to repair and paint their cars when they were in an accident as well. He realised that he could buy the parts if necessary, employ a panel beater, but was not able to paint the vehicle.

That did not stop him.

He did research on vehicle paints and techniques, spent time in Germany and came back and opened one of the FIRST base coat clear coat paintshops in South Africa.

In 1987 he builds Multispray, a 2000 sqm building on the corner of Edison boulevard and Nikkel drive in Vanderbijlpark. His son, Christo Dreyer joined him during the late eighties and his daughter-in-law, Wilna Dreyer, joined at the beginning of 2000.

In August 2013, they bought the building next door and moved the paint shop across. This new paint shop is equipped with the latest waterborne technology and equipment. Multispray consists now of +/-3500sqm under roof.
